I grew up learning about fine art and was first introduced to photography by developing in a darkroom. However by 2010, I had taught myself the entire Adobe Creative Suite and shifted to digital. In 2012, I was mentored by esteemed photographer, Bruce Weber, and featured as a student photographer in the Emmy Award-Winning HBO documentary series, Masterclass. I have also studied under the tutelage of fashion photographer, Jeffery Licatta and journalist, Judah Passow while living in London. After receiving my degree in photojournalism from S.I. Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University in 2014, I travelled back to my hometown of Baltimore, MD. I worked full-time as a photo editor for Nations Photo Lab and freelanced for several local papers and magazines, including The Jewish Times, where my coverage of the Baltimore riots in 2015 was featured as a cover story. As a new Los Angeles transplant, I have embraced the commercial industry on the West Coast and am continuously looking to diversify my work portfolio and experience. In addition, I have become a witness to the backlash of the new administration, and my personal work is documenting the fight for equality and focuses on the various dynamics of the gender roles and the first amendment. In my spare time, I love to travel, collect design books, and play tennis.
